Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, finely diced

  • 1 medium onion, finely diced

  • 1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped

  • 1-2 tablespoons Kutral Merken Paste (adjust to your heat preference)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar (or lemon juice)

  • 1-2 garlic cloves, minced (optional)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 1-2 fresh green chilies, finely chopped (optional for extra heat)

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Vegetables: Finely dice the tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Place them in a medium bowl.

  • Mix the Spices: In a small bowl, mix the Kutral Merken Paste  with the olive oil, red wine vinegar, and minced garlic (if using). Stir well to combine.

  • Combine Everything: Pour the spicy paste mixture over the diced tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Mix everything together until evenly coated. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  • Chill (Optional): You can let the Pebre sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, but it can also be served immediately.

  • Serve: Garnish with extra chopped cilantro if desired. Serve the Spicy Chilean Pebre with fresh bread, grilled meats, empanadas, or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
