Spicy Golden Fried Potatoes

Ingredients:
-
2 pounds (900g) Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
-
2 tablespoons Kutral Merken Paste
-
3 tablespoons olive oil (or another neutral oil)
-
2 garlic cloves, minced (optional for extra flavor)
-
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for extra smokiness)
-
Salt to taste
-
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
-
Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

-
Boil the Potatoes: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cubed potatoes and parboil for about 8-10 minutes, until they’re just tender but not falling apart. Drain well and let them cool slightly.

-
Prepare the Spice Mix: In a small bowl, mix the Kutral Merken Paste with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic (if using), smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

-
Fry the Potatoes: Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the parboiled potatoes in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side until the potatoes are golden and crispy.

-
Toss in the Spicy Paste: Once the potatoes are crispy, lower the heat to medium and pour the Kutral Merken Paste mixture over the potatoes. Toss to coat them evenly in the spicy paste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

-
Garnish and Serve: Transfer the spicy fried potatoes to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired.
